Introduction

Kling 4.0 (kling4.co) is an AI video and image generation platform. This policy explains what we collect, where your content goes when you generate something, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

One thing to be clear about up front, because it affects how your data is handled: we are an independent third-party platform. We are not Kuaishou, the company that develops the Kling models, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by it. "Kling" is a trademark of its respective owner. We run the models through third-party infrastructure, which is described in the "How your prompts and uploads are processed" section below.

Information Collection and Use

We collect the following types of data:

Account Information
- What We Collect: Your name, email address, and any other information you provide when creating an account.
- Purpose: To manage your account, track your credit balance, and provide customer support.
Generation Content
- What We Collect: The prompts you write, the images or media you upload, the generation settings you choose, and the videos and images the models produce for you.
- Purpose: To generate your output, deliver it to you, keep it available in your account, and troubleshoot failures.
Usage Details
- What We Collect: Information about how you use the service, including features accessed and usage frequency.
- Purpose: To analyze engagement and improve the product.
Device Information
- What We Collect: Device type, operating system, and browser type.
- Purpose: To optimize the service across devices and ensure compatibility.
Cookies
- What We Collect: Small data files placed on your device that help us remember preferences and measure usage.
- Purpose: To keep you signed in, to enhance functionality, and for privacy-respecting analytics.
Payment and Billing Information
- What We Collect: Billing details required to process a transaction. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
- Purpose: To process payments for credits and plans.

How your prompts and uploads are processed

This is the part most privacy policies leave vague, so we will be specific.

We do not run the AI models on our own hardware. When you generate a video or an image, the content you supply — your text prompt and any images, photos, or media you upload — is transmitted to third-party AI inference providers who operate the models on our behalf. These providers may be located outside your country, including outside the EU/EEA. This transfer is a necessary part of delivering the service you requested; without it, no generation can happen.

What that means in practice:

If you upload a photo of a person, that photo leaves our servers and is processed by a third-party provider. Do not upload images of other people without their permission, and avoid uploading identity documents, confidential material, or anything you would not be comfortable sending to an external processor.
Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy. We select providers on the basis of reliability and their data commitments, but we cannot control or guarantee their internal practices, and their terms — not ours — govern what they do with data on their systems.
We may change or add providers over time, for reliability or cost reasons. You can request our current list of AI inference providers at any time by emailing support@kling4.co, and we will tell you who is processing generation data at that moment.

We do not use your prompts, uploads, or generated content to train AI models. We do not sell your content, and we do not license it to third parties for their own purposes. We cannot make that same promise on behalf of the upstream model providers, whose own terms apply to data on their infrastructure — which is exactly why we are telling you that the transfer happens.

Data Storage, Retention and Security

Your account data, generation history, uploads, and generated media are stored on our infrastructure and content delivery network so the results stay available in your account.

Retention, stated honestly: we currently retain your generation content and uploads for as long as your account exists. We do not automatically delete them after a set period, and there is no self-service delete button in the product today. If you want your content or your account removed, email support@kling4.co and we will delete it. We would rather tell you this plainly than publish a retention schedule we do not actually enforce.

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

AI inference providers — as described above, to actually generate your output.
Infrastructure and service providers — hosting, storage/CDN, payment processing, email, and analytics, each limited to what they need to perform their function.
Legal obligations — to comply with applicable law or a lawful request from a public authority.
Protection of rights — to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our users.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Users in the EU/EEA and UK (GDPR) and in California (CCPA/CPRA) have these rights explicitly; we extend the same rights to everyone, regardless of location.
